Poetry In Nature
Jan 3, 2024
I am a morning person; attuned to dawn
I awake before a storm; to silence I am drawn
Peace abounds amidst humanity’s sleep
Noise and sorrow is what we reap
I hear the ground crackle; my sole company
I hear the trees rustle; my soul’s company
In the wind I hear the past singing
Echoes of yesterday in my ear ringing
The sun rises with a promise; a clean slate
In the silent whisper of nature; a clear fate
